Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

by Master Storyteller Ashley Ramsden (UK)

Master Storyteller, Ashley Ramsden, returns to the Netherlands with his perennially popular version of A Christmas Carol for the 18th year. Many of our audience tell STET that Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Ashley’s marvelous and inventive retelling of the quintessential festive tale. Dickens’ masterpiece is an international favourite that Ashley has performed on five continents, playing all 23 characters… The story embraces the original masterpiece transporting us back in time to Victorian England. We meet the wicked Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve, when he receives the visits of the three ghosts of the past, present and the future. Will he change his mean, miserly ways before it’s too late?

As per tradition, the brilliant Plum Pudding Singers will return to enhance the story with beautiful, modest and festive carols. They will perform before and during all of the performances!
