Night travel (6+)

"Since mythological cavemen times, stories keep founding families, communities and nations; they define relationships and create lovers, friends, often enemies; some of these stories end up making history, be it intentionally or not."
Sahebdivani (Iran)

Night Travel is Dutch-Iranian Sahand’s personal story. He was only three years old when his mother woke him up and told him they had to flee Iran through the mountains. His own adventures are combined with folk stories related to him by his father; the only heritage he could take from his home country. This story gives children an insight into what it means to have to leave your country and start all over. Sahand is accompanied by live music on the kanun.

SHSG logoEvery year we carefully choose a charity to support in the weeks leading up to Christmas. We usually encourage audiences to donate before or after a performance in December.
This year we like to raise funds for STICHTING HAAGSE SPORTSTIMULERING voor GEHANDICAPTEN This is a

local charity that does fabulous work within the community to create sportsopportunities for people, young and old, who are impaired. We always make sure that the money immediately and directly goes to the people who are in need.

All December there will be cash-donation boxes and a pinmachine available during the STET performances in the Koninklijke Schouwburg, Muiderslot and Theater aan het Spui.

If you cannot join one of the performances you can still support this worthwhile cause by transferring a donation into the bankaccount of Stichting Haagse Sportstimulering voor Gehandicapten
