Sons of Abraham Spotlight talk

Sham Ahmed is a 24 year old teacher in the Faculty of Law at the University of Amsterdam. Arriving in the Netherlands as a child refugee from Iraqi Kurdistan, Sham has personal experience with the challenges and opportunities that come along with life in a new country.

Sham entered the political arena at the age of 16 and stayed committed to contributing to society ever since. In the 2019 European Parliament elections, she was one of the youngest candidate representing the Dutch Labour Party (PvdA).

Tom Dello is STET’s newly appointed Artistic Director who will become STET’s General Director as from January 1, 2021. Tom is a performer, director and teacher and holds an MA in Performing Shakespeare of the University of Bristol. He works as a translator of theatre texts for companies like The Noord Nederlands Toneel and Firma Mes. Tom’s artistic vision and ideas for STET’s future can be found here…. Abdalla Daif is an Egyptian performing artist and producer, whose work comprises contemporary artistic, cultural and urban practices. His work seeks in particular to bring artistic practices closer to people who are usually removed from cultural and social participation.

Daif was also head of programs for the Gudran Association for Art and Development from 2004-2018. Gudran offered cultural and artistic services for more that 100 thousand community members, and played a huge role in activating critical creative thinking among youth in Alexandria city.
