A Christmas Carol

CHARLES DICKENS’ BELOVED
A CHRISTMAS CAROL
returns to the Netherlands for the 14th year!

PERFORMED BY ASHLEY RAMSDEN,
Master Storyteller from the UK

“I will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future.
The Spirits of all Three shall strive within me.
I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!”

– C. Dickens

Christmas could not start without A Christmas Carol … Ashley Ramsden returns to the Netherlands for the 14th year for a much-loved one-man performance of Dickens’ well-known work! It is now a tradition for our audience to return year after year and listen to this timeless classic about greed, jealousy and redemption. This evocative and moving story by Charles Dickens is brought to life by British Master storyteller and actor Ashley Ramsden, founding director of the international School of Storytelling, the longest established centre of its kind in the UK.

ABOUT THE STORY

The story embraces the original masterpiece transporting us back in time to Victorian England. We meet the wicked Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve, when he receives the visits of the three ghosts of the past, present and the future. Ultimately, Scrooge realises that giving is far more rewarding than taking. A wonderful and inspiring evening to get you totally in the Christmas mood…

Accompanied by The Plum Pudding Singers

Originating from the Koninklijke Conservatorium of The Hague, The Plum Pudding Singers are a four-part choir singing a-capella Christmas Carols. They will perform before and during all public shows.
