INFORMATION
Cheryl White has asked STET to collaborate on
the development of this amazing new play about two girls from
Eastern Europe who try their luck in London. Then one of them
receives a university offer which throws their relationship off
balance. A moving story about choices and friendship in a
foreign country.
- Cheryl White: A recent graduate of the MA
(Play and Scripts) at City University, Cheryl's film 'The
Kiss', premiered at the Curzon Soho London in June 2007. She
had her short play 'Thrill of a lifetime' professionally
produced at The Pleasance London and her monologue 'Queen's
Crescent' was performed at The Parlour gallery opening in
Camden. Currently, she is working on a television series
about inter-cultural marriages.
- Sarah has been working internationally in
theatre over the last three years she directed and assistant
directed: 1 IN 100 at The Street Theatre, Canberra,
Australia; Night School at Massai Camp, Arusha, Tanzania;
Time at The Fortune Theatre, London, England; and Gorgeous
Raptors at The TNC Theatre, Montreal, Canada. Currently she
is studying theatre in Paris at L'ecole Philippe Gaulier.
- Some comments on Petya’s Story so far: The
author has a striking sense of the visual for such a
small-scale piece. This is a deceptively sophisticated piece
of writing. The dialogue and characterisation is excellent
and the theme of a friendship breached is touchingly
depicted. [Petya's story] would please and touch an audience
